On a gold colored metal shield shaped device, 3/4 inch (1.91 cm) in height divided diagonally crossed from upper left to lower right and from upper right to lower left, the upper and lower sections ultramarine blue and the right and left sections dark blue superimposed on an eagle displayed with wings inverted, two crossed fasces, all gold, between three white five pointed stars, one above and one to the left and one to the right; at the top of the shield a gold eagle displayed with wings inverted 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) in height.  Overall dimensions of the device are 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height and 13/16 inch (2.06 cm) in width. 

The eagle on the shield is of the design of the branch insignia for the National Guard Bureau.  The background colors are the same as the flag designs for the positions.
